Sheldon Coopers 'Green Arrow Equation' Shirt

Sheldon's Green Arrow Equation Shirt
Another in Sheldon's strangely long line of superhero equation shirts (in which a particular heroes origin story is summarized in a concise equation), this one is of the Green Arrow variety. The equation here being, of course, Uncharted Island + Bow and Arrow = Green Arrow.

Sheldon Coopers WOW! Signal Shirt

In 1977, astronomer Mr. Jerry Ehman, while working on a SETI project, discovered this signal that was picked up by the Big Ear telescope in Ohio. The signal appeared so out of the ordinary (i.e., not random) that it inspired an amazed Ehman to circled the reading on the computer printout and write "WOW!" beside of it. It was henceforth known as the "WOW! Signal" and many believe it's the strongest candidate we have for an actual radio signal from an alien race.

While this appears to be a pretty straight-forward copy of the signal onto a plane purple shirt, I couldn't come across many too much like it online. But here's another straight-forward-in-it's-own-way shirt of the signal from Amazon.

Sheldon Coopers The Golden Spiral Shirt

Can't fathom what this one is. A graph of some sort? Alternate dimensional basketball court? Your guess is undoubtedly better than mine.

Update! Alright, it turns out that this thing that I initially mistook for a basketball court from an different dimension is apparently something not completely ridiculous that I made up. According to a contributor, this is a t-shirt showing us The Golden Spiral (which isn't as dirty as it sounds).

After reading much about this enigmatic geometric creature, I've found that "in geometry, a golden spiral is a logarithmic spiral whose growth factor is φ, the golden ratio. That is, a golden spiral gets wider (or further from its origin) by a factor of φ for every quarter turn it makes."

Frankly, I don't know what half of those words mean (and I'm pretty sure one is a drawing), so I'm admittedly still completely baffled of the significance of this thing (I'm not a smart man). But with a name like The Golden Spiral it's gotta be cool, right?

As you may have noticed, the Golden Spiral shirt I found is facing in a different direction from the ones Sheldon is seen wearing (sorry about that). But hopefully it'll suffice.

And thanks again to the anonymous reader who brought this to our attention! You're aces!

Sheldon Coopers 'Green Lantern Formula' Shirt

Whaddaya get when you take one green alien and add one power ring? Why, The Green Lantern, of course! This is simple arithmetic, guys, and probably the most famous equation in history (aside from that whole e=mc² jibber-jabber). A rough replica of this shirt can currently (at the time of writing this, at least) be purchased from Aliexpress.com by clicking here.

Sheldon Coopers 'Flash Equation' Shirt

Don't get this one? C'mon. Do the math, people. Chemicals + Lightning Bolt can only equal one thing — The Flash, of course! This t-shirt is similar to another one of Sheldon's favorites where a dead alien plus a power ring equaled a green lantern (click this linky-looking text to see it). Only this one's cooler because it's The Flash.

This shirt was previously sold from TheComicCenter.com, but that website has apparently said sayonara to the interwebs (RIP). Luckily, this shirt is too cool to die off that easily (although don't wait too long to get one, these things rarely last forever). It's available at several different outlets online. Here are a few where it's being sold at the time I type this and one Amazon link to a similar looking (but not quite exact) replica:

Sheldon Coopers 'Are You Grid-Equipped?' Shirt

Here we've got a science-heavy shirt from ThinkerClothing.com. According to their website:
Mathematical signal array, wireless antenna, parabolic grid directional antenna, radio wavelets, on a grid of sky spirals.
Communication towers or base stations are installed and positioned in grid patterns across geographic areas -- cities, rural environments -- so their signal reach overlap and communications can remain seamless as the signals emitted by cell phones/digital devices in use as people travel are picked up as they pass within range of the towers.
Whether this is a description of the shirt or just a random compilation of made up words, it's still unclear. Whatever the case, you can purchase the tee by clicking on the link or image below:

Sheldon Coopers '73' Shirt

"The best number is 73. Why? 73 is the 21st prime number. Its mirror, 37, is the 12th and its mirror, 21, is the product of multiplying 7 and 3... and in binary 73 is a palindrome, 1001001, which backwards is 1001001." — Sheldon Cooper
